The Moon, The Stars, Gold, And The U.S. Dollar…

July 21st, 2009 · 1 Comment · Politics, Money and Markets

Arch Crawford of “Crawford Perspectives” has more than once, been named “Market Timer Of The Year” by Hulbert’s Financial Digest, the most recent award being for 2008.

If you aren’t familiar with him, or haven’t seen his appearances on CNBC, he uses technical analysis and planetary cycles to determine market direction. Yes, you read that correctly… planetary cycles.

Skeptical? You should be. But given Crawford’s track record over multiple decades which has included accurate predictions on IMF gold sale announcements, the first Gulf War, the post 911 bear market, and his multiple awards for being the top market timing newsletter, a modicum of curiosity is surely warranted.

And what is Crawford’s latest market prediction?

A U.S. Dollar collapse, market crash, and a spike in the price of gold during the solar eclipse today, and tomorrow (July 21-22) depending on your time zone.

You can listen to Crawford’s prediction here, in an interview with Jay Taylor:

If your computer will not automatically open that mp3 file, you can access the interview here as well:

Perhaps even more interesting, is Crawford’s observations about the time frame for July 27-30, 2010, in which Crawford sees the most disturbing planetary alignment he’s ever seen. One that even exceeds that of the apocalyptic period for December 2012, as predicted by the Mayan calendar. For July 27-30, 2010 Crawford predicts - “major changes on the earth, that could change the face of civilization.”

You can listen to that prediction made in December 2008, here:

For those who prefer far less esoteric market methodology, Crawford’s observations may seem to be nothing more than lunar lunacy. But, you can not deny his track record, his following on Wall Street, and the indisputable unfolding of historic events against the time frames of his apocalyptic predictions.

Interesting food for thought.
